Bio
Lai Jiang is a PhD candidate in materials science and engineering (MSE) in Carnegie Mellon University. He received his B.S. degree in University of California, Los Angeles in 2016, and M.S. degree in Carnegie Mellon University in 2018, both in MSE. His doctoral research has been in the field of self-assembly block copolymer, bit patterned media, and heat-assisted magnetic recording.
Research
Lai has worked on fabrication of bit patterned media by self-assembly block copolymer. His current research focuses on the study of Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction (DMI). He is building a probe station to study the magnetic domain wall motion in thin films under magnetic pulses. For Sponsors
