Call for Contributed Papers

The 32nd Magnetic Recording Conference (TMRC 2021) will be held VIRTUALLY from August 16-19, 2021. The focus of TMRC 2021 is Solid State Magnetic Memory and Recording Technologies for >3 Tbits/in2

What were posters in previous TMRC events, are now called “Contributed Papers” to be presented in standard oral format. These contributed talks are 15 min in length and will be delivered on August 19, the last day of the conference.

Presenters can choose either recorded or real-time presentation.

Contributed papers are encouraged for publication in the IEEE Transaction on Magnetics following a standard peer review process.

Solid State Memory – Devices and Applications

• Spin Transfer Torque-Magnetic Random Access Memory (MTJ cell, MRAM chip manufacturing and roadmap)

• MRAM– New Physics & Materials (MRAM architecture, VC-MRAM, SOT-MRAM, TI & 2D materials)
• Magnetic Logic
  
  Advanced Generation Recording Technologies

• Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR System, Head/Media and HDI)
• Microwave-Assisted Magnetic Recording (MAMR), Energy-Assisted Magnetic Recording (EAMR)
• Alternative Magnetic Recording Technologies (SMR, TDMR, HIMR, Heated-dot, Tape, All Optical Switching)
• Advanced Magnetic Recording for > 3 Tbits/in2 including Readers, Writers, Servo, Tribology, HDI, Signal Processing
  
  Recording and Memory Fundamentals (Metrology, Tooling, Materials, Recording Physics)

Instructions for Contributed Paper Submission

Please submit Digests by email directly to the Co-chairs (see email address below) and with the subject : “TMRC 2021 Contributed Digest”.
