A Quantum Design Physical Properties Measurement System (PPMS) Magnetometer is equipped with a 9.0 T superconducting solenoid and automated temperature control between 1.7 and 400 K. The PPMS allows for DC magnetization determination by extraction, AC permeameter, resistance and magnetoresistance measurement and torque magnetometry by a piezoresistive cantilever technique.
