Two Data Storage Systems Center faculty members recently earned recognition at the College of Engineering (CIT) Faculty Awards ceremony.
William Messner, professional of mechanical engineering, received the Benjamin Richard Teare Teaching award "for his excellence in teaching, course development, leadership and contributions to curriculum development and implementation." The award is presented each year to a CIT faculty member to recognize excellence in engineering education.
Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Vijayakumar Bhagavatula garnered the Outstanding Research Award with Assistant Research Professor Marios Savvides. The award honors a faculty member within CIT whose research contribution has enhanced the national or global reputation of CIT and has received significant praise from experts in the field.
